Inner Work vs. New Age Spirituality

This may be an unpopular post. There is a difference between "inner work" and "new age spirituality."

Inner work is the very core and foundation of a spiritual path. Without it, we are only existing on the surface of our lives.

Inner work demands that we go in, way in, to our secret chambers to uncover our most brutal truths. We are required to explore both the conscious and unconscious parts of us.

Almost weekly I get requests from people who want "to create a better life, who want to 'be happy' and who want FREEDOM. I get so EXCITED to speak with these humans!! 💥

Then, I get on zoom, and it becomes clear. Many people have been tricked into believing that spirituality means some energy work, a few meditations, and plant medicine ceremonies will give them the life they are yearning for.

Drumming and drugs/plants alone won't do the shadow work that is required to purify our mind/heart towards freedom. Energy healing, without understanding the root cause of the energetic blocks, will not last.

Inner work is the Path to ascension - to a higher frequency where love/unity becomes our vibration. Inner work is the chalice of alchemy - to turn our pain into our empowerment...our gold.

I get it, many of us find it difficult to face our inner work. As psychologist Carl Jung once wrote: People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own souls.

And no matter how many meditations you do, how many plant medicine ceremonies and/or how much reiki, if inner work is not part of the Path, then FREEDOM will not come.

Self-love, inner child work, & the dance with our Shadow are the "ceremonies' in which we sit. Authentic spirituality is about embracing ALL of us with LOVE as the force.

“New age spirituality” is encouraging a new role for the ego to play that can leave the pain, anger, and hurt buried
